• You have had students from blue chip insitutions take this course. Is this an institutional based partnership course?

  This is not an accredited program by an institution meaning that there is no official commercial partnership between Apollo Academy and an Institution. However, after taking our course, creating a portfolio and then applying for stock investing jobs you will be very well positioned during the interview process. If getting a job is a key goal Apollo can arrange 1:1 Zoom sessions with you to help give you guidance in this area

• Is Kapil the only instructor? Where did he work as an investment analyst?

  Kapil is the only instructor teaching the course. He worked at Bourne Park Capital , a London Based Asset Management Firm focusing on a range of strategies. He also worked within a conglomerate (P&G) as a Financial Analyst and wanted to help design a course specially for those wanting to grow their finances over the long run whilst improving their knowledge about business analysis. The Apollo course is designed for people who want to manage their own portfolio’s for many years ahead whilst also reducing risk.

• Do you have any other courses after this one, or will this qualify me to invest?

  This is the only course. Once you have gone through this course you will have knowledge, mental tools and a lot more confidence in what to look for when deciding what public equities to invest in. You can start to invest independently but even if you’re starting your own business you’ll have additional knowledge of what is required to have an advantage in the market over a longer period. In the last module we emphasize though that Quality Focused investing is a journey of lifetime learning and patience. We use case studies and empirical evidence throughout to drive home key underlying principles.The Apollo course is designed for people who want to manage their own portfolio’s for many years ahead whilst also reducing risk. The philosophy taught is Long Term Focused Quality investing and in the first few modules the instructor explains how this differs from Asset Management within Big Corporate Institutions which tend to have a much more shorter term orientation. Many aspects of the Apollo curriculum would still be useful within institutional settings (e.g. thinking about Moats, Accounting etc) but more so if that institution shares a similar philosophy of Long Term Focused Quality. There are many asset management companies that do share this long term approach (e.g. Pollen Capital, WCM Investment Management & others) so there are work settings where one can apply Apollo’s content.

• I would like to get a job in asset management - would you be able to help with this please?

  The content of this course can be applied for analyst jobs within asset management if that asset management firm or fund shares the same Philosophy of Long Term Quality investing which we believe has benefits not only for investing but also for entrepreneurship. There are many asset management companies that do share this long term approach (e.g. Pollen Capital, WCM Investment Management & others) so there are work settings where one can apply Apollo’s content. Apollo Academy does not broker introductions to institutions or provide interview practice. However, if there are certain content areas that you would like to learn more about we can discuss this over the Zoom call. We do believe, the course videos alone will give you all the main principles to start your investing journey with confidence. If you feel your experience wasn’t satisfactory we give you your money back within 30 days. • Can I see what a video in the course looks like?

  Yes! Module 4 which is 20 minutes can be accessed by clicking here.
  This provides a snapshot of the overall content. Remember the complete course after purchase is 7 hours long and we recommend you watch it from beginning to end because you’ll then be able to tie all the concepts together successfully.

• I don’t even work in a commercial environment – is this course right for me?

  Yes because by learning this course it opens up your options – whether that be making an investment in the market on your own, having more thoughtful discussions with peers or even planning better if you choose to launch a business in the future.

• I’m an experienced investor, business person or manager– do I have anything to learn here?

  Absolutely because what’s taught here are core principles that are applicable in different time periods. If you’re experienced you still want to hear new perspectives which may cause you to reconsider your existing approaches or reinforce ones you already put into practice.

• What kinds of results do people achieve after learning this system?

  You will understand areas that take many people years of trial and error in a matter of weeks because the course content provides a comprehensive range of ideas to better understand business analysis and investing –key accounting terms, management, valuation, case examples and more. • How is this different than other online courses?

Not all of what they teach is impractical but the obfuscation of the field over the years have kept professors in posts whilst giving students inadequate information to independently invest in the real world. Secondly whatever investment strategy sounds new and interesting can get a lot of attention despite not necessarily being effective for the individual investor. Our course focuses on underlying principles that have been time tested.

• Which kind of software do you recommend?

  You’ll be able to watch the videos through your browser. For some checklists and valuation model provided you should have Excel installed.

• How much time will this take?

  The entire course contains 7 hours of online video so if you watched 1 hour everyday you can finish in a week.

• How is this course taught?

  Each module contains a video where the instructor speaks about concepts whilst also showing images and tables in the background. We connect concepts to images so you increase retention.

• I’ve signed up for online courses in the past and had mixed results…how will this course be different?

  If you chose the standard or ultra tier you can speak with the instructor also. We want to deliver the material with you in such a way that you feel confident once you’ve completed it and even after completion we’ll be happy to help you clarify any uncertain areas further if that’s what you’d like

• What kinds of industries or professions does this work for?

  At some point you have to decide what to do with savings you may have. Even if you delegate this to someone else you need to evaluate whether what they offer you makes sense. Therefore this course on investing, since it helps with financial literacy, is applicable to all kinds of industries of professions. If you’re in sales you may want to speak to the finance person and see things from his or her perspective. You may want to take up a leadership position and ideas on capital allocation in this course will help you there.
